Controlled Substances Seized in Rangpo; Three Taken Into Custody

Rangpo, July 10: Rangpo Police apprehended three individuals following a raid prompted by source-based input. The operation was conducted at a rented room near Tiny Tots School in IBM, Rangpo, allegedly used for the storage and sale of banned substances.

The individuals arrested are Anup Darjee, Aftab Ansari, and Zikrula Ansari, all residents of IBM area. The rented premises belonged to Aftab Ansari, 23, son of Sabiullah Ansari.

During the search, authorities recovered a commercial quantity of SP capsules, suspected brown sugar, and bottles of codeine-based syrup.

Legal action has been initiated under the Sikkim Anti-Drugs Act and relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. The investigation is ongoing.
