High court : Bhagavad Gita Part of Bharatiya Civilisation, Not Confined to Religion ; rejects Centre's order
Bhagavad Gita isn't a religious text but "moral science" and part of "Bharatiya Civilisation", the Madras HC said recently.
It set aside a Home Ministry order rejecting registration of the Arsha Vidya Parampara Trust on grounds of its apparent religious nature. HC said Vedanta and Yoga also can't be viewed through a religious prism.
