Howrah City Police Crack Down on Cyber Fraud

Howrah City Police have arrested one person in connection with an alleged cyber fraud involving nearly ₹50 lakh on the pretext of supplying TMT bars. The accused, identified as 25-year-old Snehashis Manna alias “Natro,” was arrested from South Mechgram with the assistance of Panskura Police Station.

Police recovered ₹20.40 lakh in cash, 17 debit cards, mobile phones, multiple SIM cards and other materials from his possession. In addition, following court directions, ₹25.98 lakh of the allegedly defrauded amount has been placed on hold in a bank account.

Six other accused persons have already been arrested in connection with the case.
