Melli Police Seize Large Quantity of Controlled Substance

Acting on credible information received by SHO PI Sher Bahadur Manger, a team from Melli Police Station, led by PI Lata Berdewa , intercepted a suspected vehicle at the Melli Check Post.

During the search, the police recovered and seized a large quantity of syrup containing Codeine Phosphate and Triprolidine Hydrochloride. The seizure was carried out following due legal procedures in the presence of independent witnesses.

The accused was identified as Sanker Chettri, 36, son of Mondoj Chettri and a resident of Yuksom in Gyalshing District.

He was apprehended by the police, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
