One Accused Arrested in Motorcycle Theft Case

A complaint was lodged at Matigara Police Station under the Siliguri Police Commissionerate regarding the theft of a motorcycle from a residence at Kawakhali under the NBMC Out Post on the night of May 30, 2026.

During the investigation, acting on source information, the Investigating Officer ASI Bijay Khaskel and his team apprehended the accused, Mahabub Khan of NJP, Jalpaiguri, in connection with another case.

During sustained interrogation in police custody, the accused confessed to his involvement in the theft and disclosed the location where he had concealed the stolen motorcycle. Based on his disclosure, the police team recovered the stolen motorcycle from the Ranidanga area under Bagdogra Police Station, District Darjeeling.
