One Person Arrested with Brown Sugar by Siliguri Police

Acting on specific source information, a joint team of Bagdogra Police Station and the Special Operations Group (SOG), under Siliguri Police Commissionerate, conducted a raid within the jurisdiction of Bagdogra Police Station.

During the operation, one person, identified as Olikanta Singh (56), a resident of Boro Dilsaramjote, Simultala, under Kharibari Police Station, District Darjeeling, was apprehended.

Upon search, three plastic packets containing substances suspected to be brown sugar, weighing approximately 311 grams, were recovered from his possession and seized following due legal procedures. The accused was subsequently arrested after completing all prescribed legal formalities.

A specific case has been registered at Bagdogra Police Station under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act. All search, seizure and arrest procedures were conducted in accordance with the prescribed legal guidelines.
