Reports : Nifty opens above 26,000-mark for the 1st time in a year, Sensex jumps 600 points
Market index Nifty opened above the 26,000-mark for the first time in a year, while Sensex jumped over 600 points to open at 85,154.15 on Thursday.
"This suggests a cautiously optimistic sentiment, even as weak global cues and the absence of strong domestic triggers keep traders vigilant," a market analyst said. Meanwhile, spot gold prices dropped to $4,084.29 per ounce.
