Sikkim Government Presents Vision-Focused Budget for FY 2026–27, CM Prem Singh Tamang Outlines Roadmap for Inclusive Growth

Gangtok, July 20: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) on Monday presented the Budget for the Financial Year 2026–27 during the Fourth Session (Part II) – Budget Session of the 11th Sikkim Legislative Assembly, outlining the state government's vision for inclusive, sustainable, and fiscally responsible development.

Addressing the Assembly, the Chief Minister thanked Governor Om Prakash Mathur for inaugurating the Budget Session and delivering the Governor's Address, describing it as an important foundation for the proceedings.

CM Tamang said the Budget is designed not only as a financial statement but as a long-term roadmap to build a "Sunaulo, Samriddha ani Samarth Sikkim." He said the government's priorities include fiscal prudence, inclusive economic growth, sustainable development, and transparent governance.
