Three persons arrested with stolen articles by Siliguri Police

On 07.08.2026, a wholesale fruit dealer having his office at Regulated Market, Siliguri, lodged a written complaint stating that during the intervening night of 06 and 07.08.2026, at around 1:30 AM, three to four unknown miscreants allegedly stole cartons of apples from a truck parked behind his fruit shop at Regulated Market. When the driver and khalasi of the truck protested, the miscreants allegedly threatened them with deadly weapons. In this connection, a case was lodged at Pradhan Nagar Police Station.

During the course of investigation, the Police team of Pradhan Nagar Police Station examined CCTV footage and, based on the available evidence, arrested three accused persons, namely i)Mithun Roy of Dhanknikata, PS–Pradhan Nagar, Darjeeling, ii) Harsh Paswan of Gurung Busty, PS–Pradhan Nagar, Darjeeling and iii) Shivam Sahani of Champasari Anchal, PS–Pradhan Nagar, Darjeeling. During the Police Custody period, 13 cartons containing a total of 253 kg of apples were recovered from their possession.
