Trump's Explosive 'Hell' Warning to Iran: Tehran Vows 'In Kind' Retaliation as Strait of Hormuz Deadline Looms

New Delhi, April 6 : In a dramatic escalation of tensions in the Persian Gulf, US President Donald Trump has issued a stark ultimatum to Iran, threatening to strike its power plants and bridges if the country does not reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz by Tuesday.

On Easter Sunday, Trump took to Truth Social with unusually blunt language, warning: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran... Open the F***in' Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell — JUST WATCH!” He ended the post with an ironic “Praise be to Allah.”

The US President also claimed that Iran's largest bridge had already been destroyed and urged Tehran to strike a deal quickly before more damage is done. In a separate interview, Trump acknowledged that talks were ongoing and expressed hope for an agreement, while making it clear that failure to comply would lead to heavy strikes on Iranian infrastructure.

Iran wasted no time in responding. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated firmly that any attack on Iranian infrastructure would be met “in kind.” He warned that Iranian armed forces are prepared to target similar US-linked assets contributing to aggression against Iran.

The standoff centers on the Strait of Hormuz — a critical chokepoint for global oil supplies — which Iran has effectively closed in retaliation amid the ongoing conflict. The blockade has already pushed oil prices higher, sending ripples through energy markets worldwide.

As the Tuesday deadline approaches, diplomatic channels remain active, but both sides appear dug in. While Trump has hinted at the possibility of turning Iran into a “great country” again through a deal, Iranian officials have shown no signs of backing down, describing the threats as reckless and vowing strong defense of their sovereignty.

The region now watches anxiously. One wrong move could push this shadow conflict into open and far more destructive confrontation, with consequences that could stretch far beyond the Middle East.
