Two Missing Minor Girls Rescued by NJP Police

Acting promptly on credible information received on 14 July 2026, the NJP Police successfully rescued two missing minor girls, aged 12 and 11 years, from the Noukhaghat More area under NJP P.S.

Preliminary enquiry revealed that the girls, who are residents of Malda, were allegedly lured through an online gaming platform. They had reportedly been receiving online training in a foreign language and were allegedly being groomed with the promise of being taken to another country. The matter is under investigation and the victims were handed to the investigating team of the concerned police station.

The Siliguri Police Commissionerate remains steadfast in its commitment to the safety and protection of children. We urge parents and guardians to remain vigilant about their children's online activities and to report any suspicious incidents or cases of missing children immediately by contacting the nearest police station.
