Accused Arrested in Motorcycle Theft Case
A case was registered at Matigara Police Station based on a written complaint lodged by Shri Akhilesh Das of Bagdogra.
The complainant alleged that on May 19, 2026, he met an individual identified as “ROX” through Facebook at Medical More, Kawakhali, to sell his motorcycle. During the meeting, the individual took the motorcycle for a trial ride and subsequently fled with the vehicle.
During the investigation, Investigating Officer ASI Sudeb Barman, along with his team, successfully apprehended the accused, Atanu Guha, aged 20, of Debinagar Para, Maynaguri. The stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession.
During interrogation, the accused reportedly confessed to his involvement in several other offences of a similar nature at different locations. Further investigation is in progress.
