Chorbagan Durga Puja Stampede: 18 Victims from West Bengal, One from Bihar, Says CM Suvendu Adhikari

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said on Sunday that 18 of the 19 people who lost their lives in the Chorbagan Durga Puja pandal stampede belonged to different parts of West Bengal, while one victim was from Muzaffarpur in Bihar.

After emerging from a high-level meeting at Bhawani Bhaban, the headquarters of the state Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Adhikari stated that the bodies of the deceased would be handed over to their respective families following post-mortem examinations. The process would be carried out under the supervision of senior officials.
