CISCE Declares 2026 ICSE and ISC Board Results: A Comprehensive Guide to Accessing Scores

With nearly 400,000 candidates awaiting their academic fate, the national education board has activated its primary score portals, alternative SMS gateways, and outlined official pathways for grade re-evaluations.

New Delhi, April 30 : The anxious wait is finally over for hundreds of thousands of high schoolers across the country. On Thursday morning, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) officially published the 2026 board examination results for both Class 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC). The grading tallies went live promptly at 11:00 a.m. local time, concluding a rigorous testing cycle that stretched from mid-February through the first week of April.

Students aiming to review their academic performance can securely access their individual scorecards through the board’s dedicated result domains. By navigating to either cisce.org or results.cisce.org and selecting their respective course category from the dropdown menu, users will be directed to a secure login page. To successfully retrieve a digital marksheet, candidates must verify their identity by inputting their specific Index Number, their seven-digit Unique ID, and an on-screen CAPTCHA code.

Recognizing the massive web traffic generated by approximately four lakh simultaneous inquiries—which frequently leads to temporary server bottlenecks—the CISCE has wisely fortified its decentralized result-sharing alternatives. To bypass potential website crashes, candidates can utilize a designated SMS service to receive their grades instantly. By formatting a text message with their exam tier followed by their Unique ID (e.g., ICSE 1234567) and sending it to 09248082883, students will get a subject-wise breakdown delivered directly to their mobile devices.

Furthermore, government-verified digital certificates are being populated on DigiLocker. By logging into the state-backed document repository with an Aadhaar-linked mobile number, students can permanently store and share their official transcripts without relying on physical paperwork. Meanwhile, school administrators are retrieving bulk performance data via the specialized CAREERS network, allowing principals to download complete tabulation registers for their institutions.

Early statistical trends from the 2026 examinations indicate that female candidates have once again outperformed their male counterparts, maintaining a multi-year lead in passing percentages across both the secondary and higher secondary levels.

For candidates who are dissatisfied with their final tallies or suspect a grading error, the CISCE has established a streamlined appeals protocol. Starting Friday, May 1, and running through May 4, a formal re-evaluation window will be open on the official portal, subject to a ₹1,000 administrative fee per subject.

Additionally, the board is continuing its commitment to student development by offering improvement exams starting June 15. This provision allows dissatisfied students to re-sit up to two subjects to boost their final standing. Revised scores from these supplementary tests are expected by late July, ensuring that participants have finalized transcripts in time for university and higher education admissions.
