Dikchu–Sanklang Road Closed Temporarily at Km 19.750 Due to Washout Near Bridge Site

Mangan, 5 Jan : Vehicular movement on the Dikchu–Sanklang Road has been temporarily suspended at Km 19.750 following damage caused by a road formation washout near an under-construction bridge, officials said.

According to the district administration, a 35-metre permanent bridge is currently being constructed at the affected location. During the course of construction, around 20 metres of the road formation near the approach to the bridge was washed away, making the stretch unsafe for traffic.

In the interest of public safety, the District Collector-cum-Magistrate of Mangan district has ordered the temporary closure of the road to facilitate restoration and ongoing construction works. Authorities stated that the damaged section will be repaired after the completion of the bridge abutment and related works.

The public has been advised to avoid travel on the affected stretch and cooperate with the authorities. Officials added that updates regarding the restoration and reopening of the road will be shared in due course.
