Gautam Adani has beaten Mukesh Ambani to become the richest Asian, according to Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Adani's wealth climbed to $92.6 billion, $1.8 billion higher than Ambani's $90.8-billion net worth, with both of them ranked 19th and 20th globally, respectively.

The next richest Indians, Lakshmi Mittal ($36.9 billion) and Shiv Nadar ($33.5 billion), rank 62nd and 70th globally.
