Harsh Singh Makes History, Wins India’s 5th Gold at CWG 2026
India secured its fifth gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2026 as judoka Harsh Singh scripted history by winning the men’s 60kg judo title.
Harsh defeated Australia’s Joshua Katz in the final to become the first Indian man to win a Commonwealth Games gold medal in judo.
His historic victory came just minutes after Asmita Dey made history by becoming India’s first-ever female judo gold medallist at the Commonwealth Games.
With Harsh’s triumph, India added another gold to its CWG 2026 tally, marking a memorable day for Indian judo.
