Home Minister Amit Shah held a review meeting with Chief Minister Shri Shuvendu Adhikari and other senior officials in Siliguri regarding security, law and order, and public welfare in West Bengal.

The West Bengal government is moving rapidly on security and public welfare initiatives, such as converting security camps in formerly Left Wing Extremism-affected areas into public convenience centers, monitoring the hearings of all major cases of electoral violence, the drug-free campaign, and curbing cross-border smuggling of animals, weapons, and counterfeit currency.

According to the Home Minister, all these initiatives will prove to be milestones in further strengthening good governance and security in Bengal in the coming days.
