Indian Pilot Smit Machchhar Suffers Skull Fracture, Persistent Headaches and Vision Problems
Indian pilot Smit Machchhar, who reportedly prevented an attempt to crash a flydubai flight bound for Tel Aviv, suffered a skull fracture after his Omani co-pilot allegedly attacked him with a crash axe inside the cockpit.
Captain Machchhar received emergency medical treatment in Saudi Arabia, where doctors reportedly performed surgery to reconstruct his skull. According to a News18 report, he is now recovering but continues to experience persistent headaches and vision problems.
The incident occurred inside the aircraft’s cockpit, with Machchhar’s intervention reportedly helping prevent a potentially serious aviation disaster.
