MARIJUANA PLANTS DESTROYED IN PAKYONG DURING TARGETED ANTI-NARCOTICS RAID

Around 300 marijuana plants were destroyed in Pakyong during a focused anti-narcotics operation carried out by the district police. The drive is part of a broader crackdown against illegal cultivation and substance abuse in the region.

The operation was conducted under the watch of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Pakyong, with assistance from panchayat members and local residents. The joint effort highlights growing public involvement in addressing drug-related issues at the grassroots level.

Officials confirmed that monitoring will continue in vulnerable areas and stressed the importance of public cooperation in identifying illicit activities. Residents have been encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious developments linked to narcotics.

The operation is seen as a continuation of the district’s approach to reduce drug supply and strengthen preventive action through law enforcement and civic participation.
