Meyong Khola Water Surge Disrupts Mangan–Chungthang Road Connectivity
The Mangan–Chungthang road was temporarily cut off on May 23 after a sudden rise in the water level at Meyong Khola triggered safety concerns in the area. Authorities halted vehicle movement from both sides and diverted traffic to prevent any untoward incidents.
People travelling through the route were advised to remain in safe locations until conditions improve and the situation returns to normal.
Officials have not yet issued the latest update regarding the current condition of the road or the restoration of traffic movement.
