One Arrested in Cyber-Fraud Case Under Operation Cyber Prahaar

Acting on information regarding a suspected cyber-fraud transaction, Matigara Police Station under the Siliguri Police Commissionerate arrested a 25-year-old woman, Malti Ray, on October 10, 2026, as part of *Operation Cyber Prahaar*.

The accused is a resident of Tumbajote, near Jora Bridge, Matigara, in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

During the investigation, police found that ₹3 lakh, suspected to be linked to a cyber-fraud transaction, had been credited to her State Bank of India (SBI) bank account. Further investigation into the case is underway.
