Our objective was the destruction of Iran's nuclear enrichment facilities and the elimination of their future nuclear threat. The strike was spectacular. If Iran does not now pursue peace, they will face further attacks from the United States. Iran has been responsible for the deaths of many U.S. citizens, but such actions will no longer be tolerated. Great American patriots skillfully piloted magnificent machines to neutralize terror-sponsoring nuclear sites.

- US President Donald Trump

Tonight, the United States military carried out massive, precision strikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Isfahan, Natanz. These are names the world has known for years as Iran built its destructive nuclear enterprise. Our objective was clear: to destroy Iran's nuclear enrichment capacity and neutralize the nuclear threat posed by the world's leading state sponsor of terror.

I can report to the world that these strikes were a spectacular military success. Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.

Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now choose peace. Should they refuse, future attacks will be far greater and executed with even more ease. For 40 years, Iran has chanted "Death to America, Death to Israel." They have killed our people, blowing off limbs with roadside bombs—their specialty. We've lost over a thousand Americans, and hundreds of thousands across the Middle East and globally have died as a direct result of their hatred, particularly at the hands of their general, Qasem Soleimani. I decided long ago that I would not let this continue. It stops now.

I want to thank and congratulate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. We operated as a team, perhaps like no team has ever worked before, and we've gone a long way toward erasing this horrible threat to Israel. My thanks also go to the Israeli military for their exceptional work. Most importantly, I want to congratulate the Great American Patriots who flew those magnificent machines tonight, and all members of the United States military, for an operation unlike anything the world has seen in decades. Hopefully, we will no longer need their services or this capacity. I truly hope that.

I also extend my congratulations to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Razin Kane, a spectacular general, and all the brilliant military minds involved in this attack.

This situation cannot continue. There will either be peace, or there will be tragedy for Iran, far greater than what we've witnessed over the past eight days. Remember, many targets remain. Tonight's was by far the most difficult, and perhaps the most lethal. But if peace does not come quickly, we will target the others with precision, speed, and skill. Most of them can be neutralized in a matter of minutes. No military in the world could have done what we did tonight—not even close. There has never been a military capable of what just took place.

Tomorrow, General Kane and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will hold a press conference at 8 AM at the Pentagon.

Finally, I want to thank everyone, and especially God. We love you, God, and we love our great military. Protect them. God bless the Middle East, God bless Israel, and God bless America. Thank you.
