Out on Bail in POCSO Case, Telangana Man Allegedly Kills Six — Including Minor Complainant and His Own Family
Hyderabad, July 11 : A 28-year-old man, Raj Kumar, recently released on bail in a POCSO case, allegedly murdered six people in Telangana's Rangareddy district in a suspected revenge attack. Kumar was booked in May for allegedly sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl, arrested on May 26, and released on a personal bond of Rs 20,000. According to Future City Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi, Kumar allegedly first killed his wife Saritha (33) and their two sons, aged four and two, at their home. He then allegedly entered the complainant's house, stabbed to death her 45-year-old mother and 65-year-old grandmother when they tried to stop him, and forcibly took the 17-year-old to an area near Akhil Sagar Lake on the outskirts of Daivalaguda, where her throat was slit. Investigators found indications of sexual assault, with forensic examination underway. Kumar later called his father, confessed to the killings and said he intended to die by suicide; the father alerted police, who launched a search operation. Bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
