Police Deployed at ECI Office Ahead of Delhi Congress Protest
Security personnel have been deployed outside the Election Commission of India (ECI) office in New Delhi ahead of a Delhi Congress protest over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the party’s demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The Indian Youth Congress is scheduled to march from 5, Raisina Road, towards Jantar Mantar on Friday. The protest is part of Congress-led demonstrations targeting the ECI’s functioning and the ongoing SIR exercise.
