Rajpal Yadav’s Wife Radha Opens Up, Thanks Bollywood as Celebrities Rally Behind Him Amid Cheque-Bounce Legal Fight
Mumbai, 13 Feb : Rajpal Yadav’s wife, Radha Yadav, has publicly acknowledged the support her family has received from the Bollywood fraternity after the actor surrendered to authorities in connection with a long-pending cheque-bounce case.
Speaking on Wednesday, Radha said members of the film industry stood firmly by the family during one of their most challenging phases. After the Delhi High Court declined to grant additional time for the repayment of nearly ₹9 crore in dues, Rajpal Yadav surrendered earlier this month and began serving his sentence at Tihar Jail.
“I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has reached out,” Radha said, expressing thanks for both emotional and financial assistance extended by colleagues from the industry. “Everybody has stood by him. The industry has been supportive,” she added.
Following the development, several well-known figures from the Hindi film industry reportedly offered help. Actors Sonu Sood and Guru Randhawa extended support in different ways, while singer-composer Mika Singh is said to have contributed financially. Reports also suggest that prominent stars such as Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Varun Dhawan reached out to the family.
Rajpal’s manager confirmed that many actors, directors and producers contacted them with offers of assistance, highlighting a sense of solidarity within the film community during this difficult time.
The legal dispute involves an old loan that escalated over the years, resulting in multiple cases related to bounced cheques. Although partial payments were made, the court directed the actor to surrender after he failed to meet repayment commitments.
Radha’s statement marks her first public reaction since her husband’s surrender, reflecting both gratitude and relief as the industry continues to extend support to the actor and his family.
