Re-opening Urmila Bhujel Assault Case of Safdarjung , New Delhi

The assault case of Urmila Bhujel, a young woman from Rhenock, Sikkim, has been reopened after she publicly condemned a video released by an advocate that blamed her for the attack. On the night of August 10, Urmila was allegedly assaulted by one man and later several other people in the Safdarjung area. Following the incident, advocate Reena Rai released a video claiming that Urmila was intoxicated and that the attack was her own fault. In an exclusive interview with the Sikkim Express, Urmila Bhujel strongly condemned Rai's statement. She alleged that both Advocate Reena Rai and the Delhi Police had pressured her to compromise and drop the case. Now, with the help of Advocate Bandana Rai, Urmila is officially reopening her case file to seek justice
