Tanushree Dutta’s ‘Evil Dead’ Remark Draws Attention After Nana Patekar’s Death

Mumbai, October 8: Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta has sparked fresh discussion following the death of veteran actor Nana Patekar, 75, after sharing a social media message featuring the words “Evil Dead”.

Dutta, who accused Patekar of sexual harassment during India’s 2018 #MeToo movement, said she was unsure how to react to his passing. She expressed condolences to his family but voiced concern that media attention surrounding his death would overshadow her scheduled professional event in Lucknow.

The actress said she would offer a fuller reaction after deciding how to respond. Her remarks have renewed attention to their longstanding controversy. Patekar had consistently denied the allegations.
