West Bengal is set to witness a major milestone as the newly elected BJP government prepares to present its first full Budget for the financial year 2026-27 in the State Assembly.

Finance Minister Swapan Dasgupta will table the Budget, which is expected to lay out the state's fiscal priorities, development agenda and key policy initiatives for the upcoming year.

Ahead of the presentation, the State Finance Department unveiled a unique Budget file crafted from traditional Bengali mats and jute. The eco-friendly design reflects Bengal's rich cultural heritage and showcases the state's traditional craftsmanship.

The 2026-27 Budget is anticipated to provide a roadmap for economic growth and development under the new government.
