Swift Police Action Leads to Recovery of Lost Belongings

Siliguri, August 14: Swift action by the Uttorayon Outpost team under Matigara Police Station led to the successful recovery of two bags containing valuable belongings that had been accidentally left behind in an auto-rickshaw.
On August 13, 2026, Mrs. Rashmi Chhetri approached Uttorayon Outpost and reported that she had inadvertently left her two bags in an auto-rickshaw while travelling from Air View More to City Centre Mall.

Acting promptly on the complaint, police conducted an enquiry and examined CCTV footage to trace the vehicle. The auto-rickshaw was subsequently identified and intercepted, resulting in the recovery of both bags.
Following proper verification and identification, the recovered belongings were safely handed over to Mrs. Chhetri.
