Bareilly , May 14 : A shocking video from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district has stunned social media after a man was hurled nearly 50 feet into the air during a violent dust storm while trying to hold down a tin shed.
The terrifying incident took place in Bamiyana village when strong winds and heavy rain lashed the area. In the now-viral footage, the man can be seen clinging to a large metal sheet as powerful gusts suddenly lift both him and the structure high into the air before throwing him into a nearby field.
The man, identified as Nanhe Khan, reportedly suffered multiple fractures and serious injuries but miraculously survived the fall. Local residents rushed to rescue him and he was later admitted to a private hospital for treatment. Reports say he is still recovering and facing breathing difficulties after the horrifying ordeal.
Eyewitnesses said several people initially tried to stop the tin shed from flying away as the storm intensified, but most ran for safety when the winds became uncontrollable. Nanhe continued holding onto the structure moments before it was ripped into the sky.
The viral clip quickly spread across social media platforms, with many users initially believing it was AI-generated because of the unbelievable visuals. However, officials later confirmed that the incident was real.
The severe storm system caused widespread destruction across Uttar Pradesh, damaging homes, uprooting trees and disrupting electricity in several districts. Dozens of people reportedly lost their lives due to storm-related incidents across the state.
