Amitabh Bachchan's Cybercrime Awareness Caller Tune Discontinued

NEW DELHI, India – The familiar voice of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, which has been educating mobile phone users about cybercrime awareness, will no longer be heard as a caller tune as of Thursday, June 26. The central government's initiative, featuring a pre-recorded message from the veteran actor, aimed to alert the public to the increasing threat of online fraud. Sources indicate that the campaign has concluded, leading to the removal of the widely recognized audio.

A source close to the development confirmed to the media, "The campaign has come to an end, and therefore, the caller tune will be removed from today." While lauded for its intent, the caller tune had, at times, drawn criticism from users, particularly during urgent calls where the brief message caused delays in connecting. The widespread nature of the tune also led to Amitabh Bachchan becoming the subject of social media jest.
